2024 Els Vinyerons Pregadeu Cava Penedes, Catalonia

Els Vinyerons is the passion project of Josep Coca and Pep Esteve, two lifelong friends dedicated to producing authentic wines that express the character of Penedès with honesty and minimal intervention. Pregadeu Cava is crafted using traditional methods and organically grown fruit, capturing the purity, freshness and vibrant personality of one of Spain's most exciting sparkling wine regions.

The vineyards lie among the rolling hills of Penedès in Catalonia, where limestone rich soils and a Mediterranean climate provide ideal conditions for producing finely balanced sparkling wines. Made from classic local varieties and matured on lees to build texture and complexity, the 2024 release combines lively fruit with delicate autolytic character and a refined, persistent mousse.

The colour is a brilliant pale gold with a fine, energetic bead. Aromas of green apple, lemon zest and white peach are complemented by white flowers, freshly baked brioche and a subtle chalky minerality. The palate is crisp and beautifully textured, with vibrant citrus and orchard fruit supported by creamy lees richness and refreshing acidity. Fine bubbles and a lingering mineral finish leave the wine fresh, elegant and wonderfully moreish.
