With its charming lemon peel, white peach fruit and crisp, fresh acidity, the Ladoix Blanc from Faiveley is a classic, refreshing but not lacking in substance. The grapes are from 3ha that were replanted from Pinot Noir in the lieux-dits Les Marnes and Les Blanchards. It provides a very worthy entry point into Côte d’Or white Burgundy at an affordable price.  Oct 2025 Drink: 2027 - 2035

Replanted in 2013 for three quarters. Fullish yellow, some reductive character on the nose. Fresh citrus, lively, a little touch of wood to finish. Nicely crafted and a pleasure to drink any time. Nov 2025 Drink: 2027 – 2029

89-90 points Jasper Morris MW Inside Burgundy

The 2024 Ladoix La Marne Blanche (a cuvée name made by Faiveley rather than a lieu-dit) has a pretty nose with lime and citrus fruit, good intensity for a white Ladoix. The palate is well balanced with a keen line of acidity and good tension with a twist of bitter lemon on the finish. Fine. Jan 2025 Drink: 2025 - 2030

89 points Neal Martin for Vinous

At the northern gateway to the Côte de Beaune, Ladoix has quietly earned a reputation for producing white Burgundies of freshness, precision and remarkable value. Les Marnes Blanches, named for its distinctive white marl soils, is a vineyard that brings together vibrant fruit, mineral tension and refined texture. Maison Joseph Faiveley, founded in 1825, has spent seven generations crafting wines that faithfully express the individuality of Burgundy's finest terroirs.

The 2024 vintage delivered Chardonnay of outstanding purity, with warm days and cool nights preserving freshness and aromatic lift. The white marl and limestone soils contribute finesse and a distinctive mineral character, while careful maturation in French oak adds subtle complexity without masking the vineyard's natural energy and precision.

Pale gold with bright green highlights, the bouquet reveals aromas of lemon zest, white peach and crisp pear layered with acacia blossom, toasted almond and delicate flinty notes. As the wine evolves, hints of brioche and wet stone emerge, adding further complexity. The palate is beautifully focused, combining vibrant citrus and orchard fruit with creamy texture, lively acidity and a chalky mineral backbone. The finish is long, fresh and finely balanced, lingering with citrus, roasted nuts and elegant saline notes.

Serve with grilled lobster, roast chicken with tarragon, pan seared scallops, turbot or a leek and Gruyère tart. Delicious from release, this finely crafted white Burgundy will continue to develop additional depth and complexity over the next decade.
