Farina Le Pezze Pinot Grigio delle Venezie is a crisp, charming white wine from the rolling hills of the Veneto, made by one of the region’s most historic and quietly innovative family estates. Farina has been crafting wine near the town of San Pietro in Cariano for generations, with brothers Claudio and Alessandro Farina now leading the way, blending tradition with a gentle push toward precision and vitality in their wines.
Le Pezze is named after one of their vineyard parcels, and this Pinot Grigio is all about freshness and drinkability. The grapes are grown on well-drained, gravelly soils in the cool foothills that rise from Lake Garda toward the Valpolicella zone. The proximity to the Alps gives the vines cool nights that help preserve bright aromatics and natural acidity.
The wine is fermented at low temperatures in stainless steel to lock in freshness and subtle floral character. It is left on fine lees for a short period before bottling, adding a little texture and roundness.
In the glass, expect lifted aromas of pear skin, lemon blossom and white peach, with a hint of almond and fresh-cut herbs. The palate is clean and zippy with flavours of green apple, citrus and a lightly saline edge. It's dry, light-bodied and refreshing with a whisper of minerality on the finish.
Perfect as an aperitivo or paired with grilled calamari, fresh tomato and basil salad, prawn risotto or soft cheeses like Stracchino or Ricotta. Drink young and chilled for maximum brightness.
