An excellent example of how Framingham follows its own path. Here you have a cocktail of lemon and lime juice, island coconuts and mango skin aromas. There is pineapple leaf, guava and lemongrass. The perfume is heavenly, the palate textured and laced with lemon butter creaminess and subtle hints of cinnamon quill. Sprayed with tropical fruit and layered with a base note of oak that gives rise to the overall richness and velocity. A sensational wine that hits all the markers of what great sauvignon blanc can be. If you want a wine to knock your socks off, for just $25, this is it. Drink 2025 to 2030.

A classic Marlborough sauvignon, its ripe, perfumed fruit and savoury tomato stalk herbaceous flavours, sweet floral note and a touch of smoke all come together in a mid-weight wine with noticeable grip and savoury structure. More brooding on the salty, phenolic finish, it's in a youthfully closed state but has the aromatic intensity on the finish to suggest that it is merely waiting to emerge. Drink 2024 to 2026.

Fresh aromas of lime zest, flint and candied lemon peel. The light-bodied palate has tightly wound acidity, giving notes of ruby grapefruit, kiwi fruit and passion fruit. Polished with an underlying power. Drink now.

Framingham has long been one of Marlborough's most distinctive voices, producing wines that combine regional purity with a willingness to push beyond convention. Established in 1981 and named after the historic village of Framingham in England, the winery has earned a reputation for thoughtful viticulture and expressive winemaking. Chief winemaker Andrew Hedley continues this philosophy, crafting wines that showcase both the intensity and sophistication that Marlborough can achieve.
The 2024 vintage delivered excellent growing conditions, allowing fruit to ripen slowly while retaining the bright natural acidity that makes New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc so compelling. Framingham sources fruit from carefully selected vineyards across Marlborough, balancing the tropical richness of the Wairau Valley with the freshness and aromatic lift found in cooler sites. The result is a Sauvignon Blanc with energy, texture and remarkable drinkability.
Pale straw with green highlights, the aromas leap from the glass with passionfruit, lime zest and grapefruit, layered with fresh-cut herbs, blackcurrant leaf and hints of guava. Beneath the vibrant fruit sits a subtle mineral character that adds complexity and refinement. Crisp and lively, the palate delivers waves of citrus, gooseberry and tropical fruit balanced by mouthwatering acidity. The texture is beautifully supple for the style, carrying the flavours through to a long, refreshing finish that remains bright and focused.
Fresh oysters, king prawns with chilli and lime, Thai green curry, grilled snapper tacos or a spring vegetable risotto make excellent companions. The wine's vibrant fruit and freshness are at their best over the next two to four years. Framingham continues to prove that Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc can offer far more than simple exuberance, delivering a wine with genuine character, balance and regional authenticity.
