Golden Child Beach Bum Rosé Organic is a breezy, ultra-refreshing rosé from the Adelaide Hills that wears its minimal-intervention, organically grown credentials with pride. Crafted by James Hamilton, the second-generation winemaker behind Golden Child, this wine is all about energy, purity, and drinkability — the kind of bottle made for beach days, lazy lunches, and effortless sipping.
Sourced from organically farmed vineyards high in the Hills, the fruit is typically a mix of Syrah and other Mediterranean varieties, harvested early to lock in acidity and crunch. Wild fermented in stainless steel with no fining, filtration or additions beyond minimal sulphur, the wine is a true expression of the fruit and place, made in a pale, dry and textural style.
On the nose, it bursts with crushed strawberries, pink grapefruit, watermelon rind, rose petals and a whisper of sea spray. The palate is light and zippy, with flavours of wild berries, blood orange and a subtle herbal twist. There’s a fine, chalky grip and mouthwatering acidity that carries through to a clean, dry finish.
Food pairing: perfect with charcuterie, grilled prawns, spicy Thai salad, marinated feta, or fish tacos. Also excellent with picnic fare or chilled on its own on a sunny afternoon.
Cellar potential: best enjoyed young and vibrant within 1 to 2 years of release.
