Pale in the glass with inviting aromas of crunchy nashi pear, citrus and green apple fruits with hints of sea spray, almond paste, crushed stone, white flowers and cut fennel. There's some nice slinky texture on the palate, tension, too, with typical high-tensile minerality and a lovely stony dry finish and an appealing saline bite.

Pale, watery hue with a faint tint of pink, the bouquet is very young and scented, with rose-petal, powder-puff aromas—just a bit unformed as yet but already showing big potential. Delicate yet intense in the mouth, refreshing and crisp with reserved but tense flavour and balanced, refreshing acidity. A pity it's released so young but it will be excellent if you can wait a few months. 18 Jul 2024 Drink 2025–2034

Holm Oak is a labour of love for winemaker Bec Duffy and her husband Tim Duffy, viticulturalist. Since 2006 they have followed their dream of crafting delicious expressions of cool-climate Tasmanian wines.

One of Bec and Tim’s shared passions is to create things. They simply love to craft treasures from Mother Nature’s wonderland. They are creative winemakers, pushing boundaries and trying new techniques, but always remaining true to Tasmania’s highly regarded winemaking reputation.

Their complementary skills drive their vision to produce delicious wines that reflect their home, Tasmania’s pristine Tamar Valley, and their own personalities – honest, down to earth, genuine and authentic.

This Pinot Gris has beautiful lifted pear and jasmine characters on the nose with some hints of creamy, leesy characters underneath. Whilst the powerful palate is packed with flavour, it also has added complexity and weight as a result of the wild ferment. The wine finishes with lovely crisp natural acidity.
