Few Australian winemakers have made a greater impact in Burgundy than Jane Eyre. As the first Australian recipient of the Négociant of the Year award from La Revue du Vin de France, she has earned international acclaim for wines that capture the purity and individuality of Burgundy's great vineyards. Her Gevrey-Chambertin Village Rouge is a superb expression of one of the Côte de Nuits' most revered villages, renowned for Pinot Noir that balances power with elegance.

The 2024 vintage delivered fruit of outstanding purity and concentration, with ideal growing conditions preserving freshness and aromatic precision. Sourced from carefully selected village vineyards, the wine is crafted with a restrained touch, allowing Gevrey-Chambertin's limestone rich soils and distinctive structure to take centre stage.

Deep ruby with youthful violet highlights, the bouquet opens with aromas of black cherry, wild raspberry and blackberry layered with rose petals, subtle spice and fine earthiness. As the wine evolves, notes of forest floor, cedar and crushed stone emerge, adding depth and complexity. The palate is beautifully poised, combining vibrant dark berry fruit with silky tannins, lively acidity and a finely woven mineral backbone. Powerful yet refined, it finishes long and elegant with savoury spice and classic Gevrey character.
