This Adelaide Hills–sourced Tempranillo is made in that delightfully fresh, fruity, early-drinking Joven style. It’s bright, it’s juicy and lively, with typical red fruit nuances. This is all about pure, vibrant fruit with an ever-so-slightly rustic edge that comes with this variety. Lovely current drinking. Drink 2026–2031.

Medium ruby in the glass, with inviting aromas of ripe red plum and raspberry coulis, black cherry and dried orange peel, and savoury hints of black tea leaf and olive tapenade. Medium?bodied and lush with fruit, framed by fine, velvety tannins that carry through to the finish. Great value for money. Drink 2026–2034.

The Jericho family has a gift for letting varieties speak in their own voice, and winemaker Kim Jericho has brought a light touch to this joven style Tempranillo.
Pressed off skins midway through fermentation to avoid harsh tannin extraction, then briefly matured in seasoned French oak before early release. The result is all about freshness and fruit rather than structure and cellaring.
The nose leads with sour cherry, red plum, and wild herbs, followed by hints of dried rose, spice and a whisper of dusty cocoa. The palate is medium-bodied, smooth and supple with soft tannins, lively acidity and a clean finish.
Serve at a cooler room temperature with all kinds of Mediterranean fare. Best enjoyed young for freshness and vibrancy.
