Alsace has a wonderful knack for producing Pinot Gris with personality, and the Cattin family has been part of the region's wine story since 1720. Based in Voegtlinshoffen, just south of Colmar, this historic estate is now guided by the family's younger generations, including Jacques and Anaïs Cattin. Sheltered by the Vosges Mountains, the vineyards enjoy a relatively dry, sunny climate that allows Pinot Gris to develop its characteristic richness while retaining freshness.
Pale golden yellow with delicate copper reflections. Ripe pear, yellow peach and baked apple mingle with honeysuckle, ginger and a hint of warm spice. The 2024 vintage is beautifully rounded, with juicy orchard fruit, gentle acidity and a soft, silky texture. A subtle touch of sweetness complements the fruit, finishing with a lovely suggestion of spice.
Delicious with Thai coconut prawns and lemongrass, crispy pork with five spice and apple, or roasted pumpkin with ginger and toasted cashews. A wonderfully versatile Alsatian white.
Cellaring: Drink now to 2029, while its fragrant fruit and supple texture are at their most appealing.
