Joseph Faiveley Bourgogne Chardonnay brings together vibrant citrus, creamy texture and classic Burgundy finesse in every glass.
Burgundy is the spiritual home of Chardonnay, and even at the regional level it can deliver remarkable character when placed in the right hands. Maison Joseph Faiveley has been crafting Burgundian wines since 1825, with seven generations of the family dedicated to expressing the diversity of the region's vineyards. The Bourgogne Chardonnay reflects the same care and attention found throughout the range, offering an authentic introduction to one of the world's great wine regions.
The 2024 vintage produced beautifully balanced fruit, with warm days and cool nights preserving freshness while allowing excellent flavour development. Sourced from carefully selected vineyards across Burgundy, the wine is gently matured to build texture and complexity without losing the purity and vibrancy that define fine regional Chardonnay.
Pale straw with bright golden highlights, the bouquet reveals aromas of lemon zest, white peach and crisp pear, complemented by white blossom, toasted almond and a touch of flint. The palate is fresh yet generously textured, combining ripe citrus and orchard fruits with lively acidity and a subtle mineral thread. Delicate lees influence adds a creamy edge, while the finish is clean, elegant and lingering with notes of citrus, roasted nuts and chalky freshness.
Pair with grilled prawns, roast chicken, pan seared barramundi, seafood pasta or a goat's cheese and herb tart. Delightfully approachable on release, this classic white Burgundy has the balance to develop additional complexity over the next five to seven years.
