Classically styled, dry and mouthwatering regional blend
Great clarity and purity with a real citrus and floral drive. Aromas of lime cordial, lemon and orange blossoms, green apples and sea spray. The palate is light-bodied with sherbet-like acidity and a tightly wound mouthfeel. Mouthwatering, mineral-edged finish. Delicious. Drink or hold.
94 points James Suckling, July 2025
Larry Cherubino is an experienced winemaker of Italian heritage with roots firmly in place across Western Australia’s Great Southern, Pemberton and Margaret River wine regions. His extensive portfolio of wines spans a dozen or so labels, each offering a number of varieties or styles, and all delivering impressively consistent quality and value.
This wine comes from the warm and dry 2024 season that followed the good rainfalls across the region in the early spring, conditions that set the vines up for success, and suited Riesling well.
The hand-picked fruit was de-stemmed, and only the free-run juice used for this wine, cool-fermented with indigenous yeasts at low temperatures between 10 and 12 degrees. A low dose of sulphites was used at bottling to protect the wine from oxidisation, and a lot of these will dissipate as you swirl the wine and let it come in contact with air.
The wine’s 2g/L residual sugar just about balances the high natural acids, and the wine sits firmly in the dry end of the taste scale. Ready to drink, it will reward a few more years in the bottle and is likely to drink well for a decade if not more.
