From a single site in Yarra Junction; 100% whole-berry fermentation and matured for nine months in French oak (40% new). A medium deep ruby red. A perfumed and attractive bouquet combining red and black fruits, rose petals and a little blood orange. It's richly fruited and nicely balanced on the palate, finishing with succulent, balanced tannins. All adds up to a wine that can be enjoyed now and over the next six to eight years.

A classically defined Yarra Valley Pinot that combines power and elegance with a smooth velvety palate, underpinned by a fine, firm core of tannin and well-weighted oak. The aromas of rose petals and violets with a little glazed cherry, immediately engages. The palate takes its cue and rolls out its luxurious combination of bright and intense flavours sitting on a plush velvety bed.

Perched in the cool hills near Dixon’s Creek in the Yarra Valley, Mandala Wines reflects a quiet, thoughtful approach to winemaking that places vineyard character at the centre of every bottle. The estate was founded by Charles Smedley, whose vision was to produce wines that capture the rhythm of the land and the calm energy of the surrounding landscape. The Prophet range represents the more serious and contemplative wines of the estate, with Pinot Noir drawing on carefully selected fruit from cool sites where clay rich soils and gentle slopes allow the variety to ripen slowly while maintaining freshness and aromatic lift.
The wine shows a bright ruby red colour with delicate clarity. Aromas open with red cherry, wild strawberry and raspberry layered with rose petal, subtle spice and hints of forest floor. As it develops in the glass gentle notes of dried herbs, tea leaf and earthy complexity begin to appear. The palate is elegant and finely structured with silky tannins carrying flavours of red berries, cranberry and savoury spice across a graceful frame. Fresh acidity provides energy and balance, leading to a long refined finish that reflects the cool climate of the Yarra Valley.
It will continue to develop beautifully over the next eight to ten years and pairs wonderfully with roast duck, grilled quail, mushroom dishes or delicate game.
