Full-bodied Cabernet from the high side of the Barossa with plush, tangy and saline black fruit
Deep crimson with a slightly broody, ferrous-edged vibe showing opulent blackberry, blackcurrant and black cherry fruits, hints of blackberry pastille, brown spice, sage, licorice, cedar, blackforest cake, brandied fruits and crushed rocks. Full bodied with a plush cremé de cassis-like fruit flow on the palate, tangy black-cherry-skin acidity and fine-grained tannins. Drink to 2041.
92 points & Special Value Dave Brookes, March 2026
The fruit for this wine was night-harvested from the estate vineyard using a selective destemming harvester and placed in five- and ten-tonne fermenters for a two-day pre-ferment cold soak. The pressed wine was matured for sixteen months in French oak barriques of which half were new and the balance of second and third use.
