Paringa Estate Peninsula Pinot Noir offers vibrant cherry fruit, silky texture and elegant Mornington Peninsula character.
A blend from across Mornington Peninsulas vineyards, this brings something extra to the table for the price. An excellent current drinking pinot with lovely colour leading to vibrant aromas that build in the glass, fruit driven style strawberries and wild raspberry, then onward and upward into a ripe, tangy, red cherry top note.
In the mouth, it starts with freshly picked ripe red into black cherry flavours, on the tight palate with gentle tannin grip balancing, lifting and carrying the lively texture with good length of flavour.
Will reward short term cellaring of 3 years. Extra points for value for the price.

Perfectly turned out. Sweet-sour cherry flavours, into strawberry, into violets, with sweet spice notes strewn throughout. Juicy and accessible but with enough tannin, and indeed oak, to both keep it in sound shape and to give it a bit of spunk. It’s not going anywhere in a hurry but it’s excellent drinking right now.

Paringa Estate is one of the defining names of the Mornington Peninsula, founded by the late Lindsay McCall after he planted his first vines in 1985 on a north facing hillside overlooking the coast. From humble beginnings, the estate grew into one of Australia's most acclaimed cool climate producers, earning a reputation for Pinot Noir and Shiraz of exceptional quality. Today, the team continues Lindsay's legacy, crafting wines that reflect the unique maritime influence and diverse terroirs of the Peninsula.
The Peninsula Pinot Noir is sourced from a selection of premium vineyard sites across the region, bringing together the vibrant fruit, spice and elegance for which Mornington Peninsula Pinot Noir is renowned. The 2024 vintage delivered excellent conditions, allowing fruit to ripen slowly and evenly while retaining freshness and aromatic detail. Sensitive winemaking and restrained oak maturation preserve the purity and regional character of the wine.
Bright ruby red in colour, the bouquet opens with aromas of wild strawberry, red cherry and raspberry layered with rose petal, cinnamon and subtle forest floor notes. As the wine evolves, hints of rhubarb, dried herbs and gentle spice emerge, adding complexity and intrigue. The palate is silky and beautifully balanced, delivering vibrant red berry fruits, savoury nuances and fine tannins. Fresh acidity provides energy and precision, while the finish lingers with delicate spice, floral notes and a touch of earthy minerality.
A wonderful match for duck breast, roast pork with fennel, grilled salmon, mushroom risotto or a beetroot and goat's cheese tart. Approachable in its youth yet capable of rewarding medium term cellaring, it captures the elegance and charm that have made the Mornington Peninsula one of Australia's premier Pinot Noir regions.
