Picnic by Two Paddocks Pinot Noir is the vibrant, organic introduction to Sam Neill’s celebrated Central Otago wine project. Grown and made with the same care as the estate’s flagship wines, this Pinot is sourced from Two Paddocks’ certified organic vineyards across Alexandra, Gibbston, and Bannockburn, delivering a quintessentially Central Otago style with approachability and charm.
Winemaking is minimal and expressive. Grapes are hand harvested, naturally fermented with wild yeasts, and aged in seasoned French oak to retain fruit purity and savoury detail. While it’s crafted as a more youthful and drink-now expression, there’s real finesse and regional character behind its playful label.
In the glass, it’s all about lifted red cherry, wild strawberry, thyme and a touch of spice. The palate is silky and bright, with fine tannins, vibrant acidity, and a juicy red fruit core balanced by earthy complexity and a gentle mineral edge. It’s fresh, unforced, and thoroughly drinkable.
Perfect for charcuterie, grilled salmon, roast duck or mushroom pizza. A true Central Otago Pinot with pedigree, personality and soul.
