2024 Prophet's Rock Rocky Point Pinot Noir, Central Otago

Prophet's Rock has earned international acclaim for crafting some of New Zealand's most compelling Pinot Noir, with winemaker Paul Pujol drawing on experience gained in Burgundy to produce wines of precision, elegance and remarkable sense of place. From the dramatic landscapes of Central Otago, the winery has developed a loyal following for Pinot Noir that captures both power and finesse in equal measure.

Rocky Point is sourced from estate vineyards in Bendigo, where ancient schist soils, warm days and cool alpine nights create ideal conditions for Pinot Noir. Designed as an earlier drinking expression of the estate, it retains the hallmark purity, savoury complexity and vibrant energy that have made Prophet's Rock one of Central Otago's benchmark producers.

The colour is a brilliant ruby red with youthful crimson highlights. Aromas of black cherry, wild raspberry and red plum are complemented by dried thyme, rose petals and subtle spice. The palate is bright and finely textured, carrying vibrant red berry fruit through silky tannins and lively acidity. Gentle earthy notes, crushed schist and finely integrated oak add depth before a long, graceful finish that reflects the distinctive character of Bendigo.
