Rich and bold Alexandra Pinot with plush, fleshy and long flavours
Richly ripe and enticing, the bouquet shows dark plum, cherry, warm spice, rich floral, and assorted nut aromas. It's wonderfully weighted and plush in the mouth, delivering fleshy texture and layers of fine tannins, finishing splendidly long and satisfying.
93+ points Sam Kim for Wine Orbit, February 2026
More about this wine
The Pioneer label celebrates the early settlers of the region and the wine itself pays tribute to traditional Pinot Noir craftsmanship.
Sourced from estate vineyards in the Alexandra subregion of Central Otago, the hand-harvested fruitwere destemmed and crushed into small fermenters and matured in French oak barrels most of which were seasoned.
A bold yet finely structured wine this Pinot offers deep flavour, vibrant acidity and silky tannins. The wine is ready to be enjoyed on release.
