All estate grown with 30% whole bunches and matured in 15% new hogsheads. A light, bright ruby red. An opulent, floral and spicy bouquet where you barely detect the stems. Delicious as a young wine; red fruited and with silky, very nicely balanced tannins. A wine to drink before the '23, but it's also worth pointing out that Mayer's track record with this wine tells us that this will still be looking good five to seven years from now.
