Award winning, perfumed and generously fruited Hunter Valley white
95 points Gold at NSW Wine Awards 2025, NSW Small Winemaker Awards 2025, Australia New Zealand Boutique Wine Awards 2025 and the Hunter Boutique Wine Show 2025
Silver at Queensland Royal Wine Show 2025 and Hunter Valley Wine Show 2025
A different take on semillon, with an upfront flavour profile and a high-toned, fruity perfume. Immediately appealing from the first pour, with sweet pea, lemon rind and citrus zest. The palate has true vitality, with generosity and softness. An approachable style with broad appeal. Utterly delicious. Drink to 2028.
95 points Special Value Toni Paterson MW for Halliday Wine Companion, March 2026
Pale colour and a very shy nose, restrained, subtle aromas of fresh picked crushed herbs, but not 'green' or unripe. Attractive lemon/citrus nuances as well. There is detail and depth here. Intense and piercing, with elevated acidity: a superb example of traditional semillon. Drink to 2038.
93 points Huon Hooke for The Real Review, November 2025
More about this wine
The 2025 season started with spring frost damage to some vines. Many recovered with a secondary fruit set ahead of what was otherwise a picture perfect season producing excellent quality but smaller yields.
Handpicked, chilled overnight and pressed into stainless steel for fermentation. No tricks, and bottled early – Hunter growers and winemakers know how to get the best out of this variety.
