Maison Fournier has a long history in the Loire Valley, with its roots in Sancerre and a reputation for producing fresh, expressive wines that celebrate the region's distinctive grape varieties. While best known for Sauvignon Blanc, the estate's MMM Chenin Blanc explores another of the Loire's great white grapes, capturing its lively fruit, gentle texture and natural versatility.
Chenin Blanc thrives in the Loire Valley, where the temperate climate allows it to develop ripe orchard fruit while retaining refreshing acidity. The 2025 is a bright, approachable expression, combining Chenin's characteristic apple and pear flavours with delicate floral notes and a subtle mineral edge.
Pale straw yellow with soft golden highlights. Crisp green apple, ripe pear and white peach mingle with quince, lemon blossom and a hint of honey. The palate is juicy and finely textured, with fresh orchard fruit, lively citrus acidity and a gentle waxy richness. Subtle notes of almond and wet stone carry through a clean, refreshing finish.
Try it with Thai fish cakes and cucumber relish, roasted cauliflower with tahini and pomegranate, or grilled prawns with ginger and lime. Its balance of fruit and freshness also makes it a lovely partner for soft goat's cheese and vegetable tarts.
Cellaring: Drink now to 2029. Particularly appealing for its youthful fruit and lively freshness.
