There is something irresistible about a beautifully crisp Sancerre, especially when it comes from the limestone hills of the Loire Valley. J. de Villebois specialises in Sauvignon Blanc, with founder Joost de Villebois championing the distinctive vineyards of the Central Loire. The region's limestone, clay and flint soils give Sancerre its celebrated freshness and mineral character.
Pale straw yellow with delicate green reflections. Fresh grapefruit, lemon zest and crisp green apple mingle with elderflower, gooseberry and a hint of fresh herbs. The 2025 vintage is bright and lively, with juicy citrus fruit, refreshing acidity and a lovely chalky, saline finish.
Wonderful with freshly shucked oysters, Vietnamese green mango and prawn salad, or grilled snapper with lime and coriander. A crispy zucchini and herb fritter would be equally delicious.
Cellaring: Drink now to 2030. Particularly appealing for its youthful freshness and vibrant citrus character.
