From one of Italy’s oldest cooperatives, based in Trentino, this is a fine example of Pinot Grigio. Pale straw, this is rather a neutral style. Not suggesting that in a negative sense as very often this style of wine lends itself to a much wider range of cuisines. We do have notes of citrus and florals, and the wine is gentle and yet tight, lifting on the palate. There is good freshness with a supple texture and decent length. Hints of orange rind emerge on the finish. Enjoy this over the next three to five years. A very good example of regional Pinot Grigio. Drink to 2031.

Mezzacorona Pinot Grigio is a fresh, reliable expression of Veneto that shows why this style remains so popular when it is done well. The vineyards sit across the north east of Italy, where cool alpine influences meet warmer plains, giving long ripening and crisp natural acidity. Alluvial soils and careful site selection help produce clean, vibrant fruit with clarity and balance.
Mezzacorona has been part of Italian wine history since 1904, operating as a cooperative with a strong focus on quality and sustainability. With thousands of small growers across Trentino and Veneto, the winery combines modern winemaking with deep local knowledge. Pinot Grigio is one of its calling cards, made in a pure, approachable style that highlights freshness and drinkability.
In the glass, the wine is light, bright and inviting. Pear, green apple and citrus sit alongside a subtle floral lift. The palate is dry and crisp, with clean acidity and a smooth, refreshing finish. It is uncomplicated in the best way, delivering exactly what you want from a classic Veneto Pinot Grigio.
At the table, this is an easy match. It works beautifully with seafood, salads, light pasta dishes or as an aperitif on a warm day. Best enjoyed young for its freshness and simplicity. A dependable, well made Italian white that offers great everyday appeal.
