A Grenache-led blend from four dry-grown sites across the Barossa Valley, withsoils ranging from gravelly sand to red clay, vines from 25 to 90 years old, predominantly bush-grown. The diversity of sites is deliberate: each brings something different to the blend, and the whole is more interesting for it. Each batch spent two to six hours on skins before pressing to tank, with a small portion through malolactic conversion and six months on lees — an approach that gives the wine its texture and weight without losing freshness.
Pale and precise, with the kind of energy and snap that was once the exclusive domain of the finest Provence rosés. Red cherry, strawberry and dried herb on the nose with a mineral, saline lift. The palate is dry and crunchy with bright acidity, a subtle creamy texture from the lees and a clean, lingering finish.
A genuinely versatile rosé at the table. Grilled whole bream with herbs and lemon; a Vietnamese green papaya salad with prawns; or a simple niçoise with good tuna and a sharp dressing. The wine's dry freshness and mineral edge make it easy company for anything clean and flavoursome.
