From Margaret River’s maritime fringe, Stella Bella has long been a go to for whites that balance brightness with polish. Founded by Janice McDonald and now under the guidance of winemaker Luke Jolliffe, the focus remains firmly on regional expression, clean fruit, and a style that sits somewhere between classic Bordeaux inspiration and the easy drinkability the region does so well.

This Semillon Sauvignon Blanc blend captures that balance neatly. Aromatics open with lemon and lime, backed by green apple and a hint of passionfruit. There is a gentle herbal lift, freshly cut grass and a touch of gooseberry, with Semillon adding a softer citrus and subtle waxy note that rounds things out.

On the palate it is crisp and refreshing, light to medium bodied with bright acidity driving the wine. Sauvignon Blanc brings the lift and vibrancy, while Semillon adds texture and a little mid palate weight, giving a more complete feel than a straight Sauvignon. The finish is clean and dry, with a faint mineral edge that keeps it sharp and focused.

Winemaking is all about preserving freshness, cool fermentation in stainless steel and careful blending to highlight each variety’s role without letting either dominate.
