2024 Stella Bella Otro Vino Chardonnay, Margaret River

Otro Vino is Stella Bella’s playful, drink now side, a Chardonnay built for brightness, texture and pure Margaret River sunshine. Sourced from cooler southern vineyards close to the Indian Ocean, the fruit carries natural acidity and citrus drive that keep the wine lively and refreshing. Under winemaker Luke Jolliffe, the aim is approachability without sacrificing regional identity, creating a Chardonnay that feels modern, relaxed and dangerously easy to finish.

Winemaking keeps the focus on fruit and freshness. A mix of stainless steel and subtle lees work adds a gentle creaminess while avoiding heavy oak influence. The result is a style that sits between crisp and textural, designed for everyday drinking but still recognisably coastal Margaret River.

Pale straw in colour, the aromas jump with lemon zest, white peach and nectarine, followed by melon and a soft floral lift. The palate is light to medium bodied and juicy, with stone fruit and citrus wrapped in bright acidity. A faint creamy note through the middle adds comfort without dulling the snap. The finish is clean, fresh and mouthwatering.

It pairs effortlessly with seafood, salads, roast chicken and casual weeknight meals. Best enjoyed young for its vibrancy and charm.
