Judd is one of Ten Minutes by Tractor's most highly regarded single vineyard Pinot Noirs, reflecting the estate's reputation for producing some of Australia's finest cool climate wines. Led by head winemaker Imogen Dillon, the winery continues to build on its cult following with wines that express the unique personality of each vineyard while showcasing the purity and elegance of the Mornington Peninsula.
The Judd Vineyard benefits from cool maritime influences, ancient soils and a long growing season that allows Pinot Noir to ripen slowly and evenly. Gentle whole bunch fermentation and carefully judged oak maturation preserve the vineyard's fragrance and detail, creating a wine of remarkable finesse and balance.
The colour is a brilliant ruby red with youthful crimson highlights. Aromas of black cherry, wild strawberry and raspberry are joined by rose petals, exotic spice and subtle forest floor notes. The palate is refined and beautifully composed, carrying vibrant red berry fruits across fine silky tannins and bright natural acidity. Delicate savoury nuances and beautifully integrated French oak lead to a long, persistent finish that reflects the vineyard's pedigree.
A superb partner for roast duck, grilled quail, wild mushroom risotto, herb roasted chicken or cedar plank salmon. Drinking beautifully now, this single vineyard Pinot Noir will continue to reward careful cellaring over the next ten years.
