Medium rose pink, a lovely plush aromatic nose of rose petals and cream with a chalky wet mineral edge. Has that lovely creamy texture you want in a dry rosé, then finishes steely and savoury. Delicious rosé, and very smashable, as the young people say. Drink 2025–2028

Yering Station stands on the site of Victoria’s first vineyard, planted in 1838 in the upper parts of the Yarra Valley. Under chief winemaker Brendan Hawker, the estate produces wines across several tiers that draw on the cool climate and elevation of a region known for wines of natural freshness and finesse.
The Village wines are classic expressions of the varieties the Yarra Valley is known for. Winemaker input is kept minimal for these wines, letting the bright, vibrant fruit flavours speak for themselves. The wines are approachable on release.
Ideal spring conditions in 2025 led to excellent fruit set and beautifully balanced canopies. A warm summer provided optimal ripening and healthy crops rich in flavour.
The 2025 Village Rose is a blend of several varieties, with Sangiovese, Shiraz and Mourvèdre leading the way. Medium rose pink, the aromatic nose draws you in with creamy citrus fruit and a suggestion of roses and watermelon. Partial barrel fermentation has added a creamy texture to the lively flavours that mirror the aromas: generous citrus and juicy berry flavours, finishing with a fresh zip.
Easy to drink more of than intended and best enjoyed with friends. Good company to green papaya salad, salmon sashimi and grilled pork belly.
