69/31% cabernet/shiraz. A light, bright copper. A lifted and attractive bouquet of red fruits, orange zest and spice lead onto the flavoursome, textured and beautifully balanced palate. A great food wine for this summer and next.

Few Australian vineyards have a history quite like Yeringberg. Established in 1863 by the de Pury family, this remarkable Yarra Valley estate was once one of Victoria's most celebrated wine producers before the vineyards were lost to the region's early twentieth century decline. The family revived winemaking in the 1960s, and today siblings Sandra and David de Pury continue the tradition, producing wines of elegance, restraint and unmistakable character. Best known for its beautifully structured reds and refined whites, Yeringberg also makes a rosé that reflects the same thoughtful approach to vineyard and winemaking.
The 2025 Rosé comes from the family's historic Yarra Valley property, where the cool climate and carefully managed vineyards favour freshness, fragrance and natural balance. Rather than pursuing an overtly fruity or sweet style, Yeringberg takes a more restrained approach, allowing delicate red fruit, subtle savoury notes and refreshing acidity to shape the wine. The 2025 vintage produced fruit with appealing aromatic definition, making this a rosé that feels beautifully suited to the table. There is a lovely sense of refinement here, with enough texture to accompany food while retaining the easy charm that makes good rosé such a pleasure.
A delicate pale salmon pink with a faint copper hue. Fresh strawberry, raspberry and white peach mingle with pink grapefruit, rose petal and a little watermelon rind. Hints of dried herbs and subtle spice add interest without overwhelming the fruit. The palate is crisp and finely textured, with juicy red berries and citrus supported by refreshing acidity. There is a gentle savoury character through the middle, followed by a clean, dry finish with lingering strawberry, orange peel and a faint mineral note. Elegant and beautifully balanced, this is a rosé that favours finesse over exuberance.
Grilled prawns with lemon and parsley, tuna crudo with citrus or a tomato and burrata salad would all be lovely companions. It would also be delicious with zucchini fritters, roasted capsicum and whipped feta or a platter of Mediterranean vegetables with fresh herbs. Perfect for a long summer lunch, although its freshness and delicate savoury character make it just as appealing alongside an early evening meal.
Cellaring: Drink now to 2028. Best enjoyed while its delicate fruit, floral aromas and refreshing acidity remain at their most expressive.
