2026 Hentley Farm Riesling, Eden Valley

This is the latest vintage of Hentley Farm’s Eden Valley Riesling. From the great 2026 vintage, the wine remains in its infancy on release. We’ll be adding tasting notes as the wine reveals more of its personality, but for now, it ticks all the boxes of a great Eden Riesling: dry, vibrating with a broad range of ripe citrus fruit and blossoms. This will be on song as we head into the summer months.

This Riesling is part of Hentley Farm’s Barossa Collection of wine made from grapes grown outside their estate.

From the excellent, long and temperate 2026 growing season, the grapes were sourced from five blocks in the Eden Valley on sandy loam over granite at 420 to 450 meters altitude. The de-stemmed fruit was chilled, pressed and cold settled for 48 hours before fermentation at cool temperatures in stainless steel.

Hentley Farm was established in 1997 by Keith and Alison Hentschke in the rolling hills of Greenock Creek in the western reaches of the Barossa. Their 150-hectare property sits on a diverse range of soils that coupled with the varying orientations of the land gives them a rich tapestry of fruit styles from their two vineyard sites. Work at the winery has been led by winemaker Andrew Quin since 2008.
