Plush, creamy and textural Gris with floral stone fruit and spice
Paringa Estate Pinot Gris from the Mornington Peninsula is a refined and textural white wine that was partially fermented inaged French oak puncheons.
Fragrant and floral, the wine greets with aromas of white peach, nashi pear, orange blossom and a hint of spice. The palate is plush with pear and green fruit flavours, and the creamy texture is complemented by crunchy, lively acidity.
This pairs wonderfully with grilled prawns, roast chicken, creamy pasta with herbs, or lightly spiced Asian dishes. It’s also excellent with soft cheeses or seafood risotto.
Enjoy it now for its freshness and delicacy, or cellar for a couple of years for honeyed and nutty complexity.
About this producer
Established by Lindsay McCall in 1985, Paringa Estate is one of the Mornington Peninsula’s leading producers, with a reputation built on meticulous vineyard work and a commitment to showcasing the nuances of site and vintage.
The home vineyard in southern Red Hill is a north facing amphitheatre of closely spaced vines tucked into a hillside and carefully managed to produce low yields and highly concentrated fruit. Fruit from the home vineyard is complemented with produce from five leased vineyards managed by the Paringa team.
Winemaking has been in the hands of Lindsay’s son Jamie McCall since the 2017 vintage.
