Base 2021 Disg Mar 2025
Agrapart remains one of Champagne’s most revered grower producers, crafting wines that place terroir and precision ahead of flashy winemaking. Based in the Grand Cru village of Avize, the family estate has become legendary among collectors for its intensely mineral Blanc de Blancs sourced from some of the Côte des Blancs’ finest chalk rich vineyards. Terroirs is the gateway into the range, though there is nothing simple about it, especially in magnum where the wine gains even greater complexity, finesse and ageing potential.
Disgorged in March 2025, this release is electric with freshness and detail. Aromas of lemon zest, green apple and white peach rise from the glass alongside toasted brioche, crushed chalk and subtle smoky notes. The palate is incredibly fine and precise, driven by piercing acidity and an exceptionally delicate mousse that carries layers of citrus, oyster shell and roasted almond across the tongue. There is remarkable tension here, though the wine still feels generous and textural thanks to extended lees ageing and careful blending from Grand Cru vineyards.
This is serious Champagne that absolutely belongs at the table. Fresh oysters, lobster with beurre blanc or sashimi would all be sensational pairings. It also shines beside aged comté, caviar or simply enjoyed slowly over the course of a long evening as the wine continues to evolve in the glass. Magnum format only amplifies the wine’s depth and complexity, making this an exceptional bottle for both immediate drinking and extended cellaring.
