History and tradition: ideally located at the foot of the garden of the family house, the vineyard is very pleasant and easy to grow.
Soil: brown limestone on marl. Marble is known as the mother rock on which chardonnay best expresses itself. The rich clay content of the soil makes it possible to obtain rich and aromatic wines.
Cellaring potential: 10-15 years Vine Planting: 1973, 2003 et 2016 Surface: 0.7109 ha Maturation: 11 months New oak barrels rate: 20 to 40%
From a .70 ha holding in Ez Crets and Les Places. Layered aromas are comprised by notes of pear, apple, citrus confit and a whiff of petrol. The supple yet nicely detailed medium-bodied flavours possess a caressing mouthfeel while delivering fine length on the balanced, clean and dry finale. This moderately structured effort is not a wine of refinement (Maltroie rarely is) but it is refreshing and inviting.
