Among the most exciting categories of wine in Australia of late, gris' paradoxical virtues are defined by its neutrality, textural detail and with that, its capacity not to get in the way with what is on the plate or the goings-on around it. This, full-weighted and driven as much by an ambient barrel ferment and the truffled nuances of full solids, as its is by gris' phenolic DNA. Rich and billowing across the palate, the intensity of flavour leaving few doubts about the wine's impressive intrinsic qualities. Very good.

The fruit from this wine comes from two Moorooduc vineyards on the Mornington Peninsula – the Garden Vineyard and Osborn Vineyard.
Pale gold in colour with a rich nose of spiced pear tarts, with a hint of roasted almonds, grated ginger and ginger flower. On the palate, the wine is full bodied and savoury yet rich, with ripe yellow pear and quince fruit and tangy lemon and orange zest on the finish.
A wine that is delicious right now and will match beautifully to goats cheese and onion tart, a slice of prosciutto or a piece of taleggio cheese.
