2013 Tomich Q96 Chardonnay, Adelaide Hills

Estate-grown, the clone 96, the best of the new Burgundy clones, and gains a 'Q' courtesy of the block on which it is grown. The wine has been barrel-fermented, and developed a full green-gold colour, also exceptional drive, intensity and focus to the varietal fruit; grapefruit rides shotgun, supported by white peach, nectarine and some grilled nut oak nuances; the intensity inevitably means the palate is very long with a lingering finish.
