Vinous with strawberries, salted cherries, a whiff of flowers and overall intense aromas. Light-bodied with racy acidity and red-fruit length. Maybe not too long but pristine in style and well-defined. Drink now as an aperitif.

Jacquart Brut Rosé Mosaïque is a lively and elegant rosé Champagne crafted in Reims by Champagne Jacquart, a house celebrated for its contemporary approach and grower-driven fruit sourcing. Established in 1964 as a cooperative of forward-thinking growers, Jacquart now works with over 60 crus spread across Champagne’s key subregions. This broad vineyard base gives the Mosaïque range its name and signature complexity. The Rosé Mosaïque is built around Chardonnay, which provides its lift and precision, supported by Pinot Noir for structure and Pinot Meunier for juicy red fruit. A small proportion of still red Pinot Noir wine is blended in to achieve its delicate pink hue and subtle berry notes, while a healthy portion of reserve wines is included to ensure consistency and depth.
The grapes come from premier sites in the Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne and Côte des Blancs, planted mainly on chalky soils that lend the wine a crisp, mineral backbone. After the initial fermentation, the wine undergoes secondary fermentation in bottle and is aged for around three years on lees, significantly longer than the minimum required for non-vintage Champagne. This extended ageing brings refined texture, creamy complexity and a delicate mousse, while dosage in the brut range keeps the wine vibrant and fresh.
In the glass, the Brut Rosé Mosaïque shines with a pale salmon pink colour and a fine, persistent stream of bubbles. The nose is charming and expressive, offering aromas of wild strawberries, redcurrants and raspberries, interwoven with notes of rose petals, citrus zest and freshly baked pastry. On the palate, it’s lively and elegant, showing bright red berry fruit, blood orange and hints of pomegranate balanced by crisp acidity and a creamy texture from lees ageing. The finish is long, refined and chalky, perfectly capturing the finesse of Chardonnay with the joyful fruitiness of Pinot.
This rosé Champagne is wonderfully versatile with food. It pairs beautifully with tuna tartare, grilled prawns, duck and cherry salad, or charcuterie. It’s equally at home alongside creamy cheeses like Chaource or soft goat’s cheese, and makes an exceptional match with strawberry tart or macarons for dessert. While it’s ready to enjoy now, it can gain additional complexity over three to five years in the cellar.
