Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot MeunierLight straw colour, aromas of meringue with a hint of shaved almond. The wine is light and soft in the mouth, nicely balanced with a trace of sweetness mid-palate before a clean dry finish. The wine is youthful, fruity and seamless, beautifully balanced and cleansing in the follow-through, with a subtle lemony aftertaste.

Jean Noël Haton Réserve Cuvée Brut is a classic, quietly confident Champagne that delivers balance, generosity and traditional appeal without fuss. Sourced from vineyards around Damery in the Vallée de la Marne, the blend typically brings together Pinot Meunier for fruit and approachability, Pinot Noir for structure and Chardonnay for freshness and lift. The result is a well rounded Champagne that feels immediately welcoming yet properly made.

Jean Noël Haton is a family owned Champagne house with generations of vineyard experience and a strong focus on consistency and value. The style here is resolutely traditional. Careful blending, extended lees ageing and a measured dosage are all used to create harmony rather than flash. Réserve Cuvée Brut is designed to be versatile and reliable, a Champagne that works just as well as an aperitif as it does at the table.

In the glass, the wine is pale gold with a fine, steady bead. Aromas are open and appealing. Apple, pear and lemon zest lead, followed by white peach, brioche and subtle notes of almond and honey. There is a gentle richness, but it is kept in check by freshness and clarity.

On the palate, Jean Noël Haton Réserve Cuvée Brut is smooth and well balanced. Orchard fruit and citrus flavours move through a creamy but precise mousse, supported by bright acidity that keeps the wine lively and food friendly. Lees ageing adds a soft biscuit note through the mid palate, and the finish is clean, dry and gently savoury, with good persistence.

This is an easy Champagne to enjoy across a wide range of occasions. It pairs beautifully with oysters, seafood, canapés, roast chicken or light charcuterie. Drinking well on release, it will also continue to develop additional harmony and subtle complexity over the next three to five years.

Jean Noël Haton Réserve Cuvée Brut is honest, polished and dependable Champagne, offering classic style, balance and excellent value for those who appreciate traditional craftsmanship.
