Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay, Pinot NoirA full and deep youthful pink colour with a trace of purple in the tint, signalling a younger rosé style. Fragrant rose-petal aroma, some pinoty smokiness and a hint of forest-floor with an echo of mushroom. The palate is full and round and bold, a tickle of sweetness early morphs into a rich middle and then there's a cleaner, drier finish. A full flavoured, youthful, fruit-driven style of pink Champagne.

Jean Noël Haton Cuvée Brut Rosé is a charming, well balanced Champagne that combines freshness, red fruit character and traditional house polish. Sourced from vineyards around Damery in the Vallée de la Marne, the blend is built largely on Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir, with a smaller contribution from Chardonnay to add lift and finesse. A portion of red wine is included to give colour, structure and aromatic depth, resulting in a rosé that is expressive yet refined.

Jean Noël Haton is a family owned Champagne house with deep roots in both viticulture and winemaking. The style here is classic and approachable rather than showy. Careful blending, traditional methods and extended lees ageing are used to create harmony and consistency, with the rosé designed to be versatile, food friendly and immediately appealing.

In the glass, the wine shows a delicate salmon pink hue with a fine, persistent bead. Aromas are fresh and inviting. Wild strawberry, raspberry and red cherry lead, followed by hints of blood orange, rose petal and a subtle brioche note from lees ageing. The overall impression is bright and elegant rather than sweet or confected.

On the palate, Jean Noël Haton Cuvée Brut Rosé is lively and well composed. Red berry flavours flow through a creamy but precise mousse, supported by fresh acidity that keeps the wine crisp and balanced. There is a gentle savoury undertone beneath the fruit, adding interest and length. The finish is clean, dry and refreshing, with lingering red fruit and citrus peel notes.

This is a Champagne that works beautifully both as an aperitif and at the table. It pairs particularly well with salmon, tuna, shellfish, charcuterie, roast poultry or lightly spiced dishes. Drinking well now for its vibrancy and charm, it will also continue to develop subtle complexity over the next three to five years.

Jean Noël Haton Cuvée Brut Rosé is an elegant, reliable Champagne that delivers freshness, balance and classic rosé character with ease.
