Disgorged JAN21. A blend of 85% pinot noir and 15% chardonnay. Mostly 2018 vintage but with 35% reserve wine, which is no slouch. Organic farmed. I really like these Champagnes.
Sweet perfume with just-ripe apricot, coconut, nougat with Parisian almonds in the mix. Pretty. The palate is zesty in bubbles, creamy yet light on with a sense of elegance and freshness writ large. Poised. Good detail of yeasty complexity on green apple with grapefruit pithy coolness and zing. Delightful and feels fancy. Drink 2023-2030.

This impressive NV champagne shows what generosity and charm pinot noir is capable of in Champagne. Impressive depth, but also lovely candied-citrus juiciness. Then comes a long and elegant, chalky finish. A cuvee of 85% pinot noir and 15% chardonnay, based on the 2018 vintage with 35% reserve wines from earlier vintages. Disgorged on July 21st, 2021. It’s actually entitled to the Extra Brut designation, thanks to very low dosage. Sustainable. Drink now.
