In 2012, fifty years after the founding of Cantine San Marzano, Collezione Cinquanta was born. As a non-vintage wine, it has been designed for the occasion, a precious blend of the best red grape varieties typical of Salento. Powerful and structured, with a complex bouquet of ripe red fruits and spices.
Malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks and then in French oak barrels for 12 months.
Ruby red colour with purple reflections; an intense and complex bouquet with fruity notes of prune and red jam, and a spicy scent of vanilla and licorice. Intense on the palate, full-bodied and soft with a long aftertaste
Best served with savory first courses, red meats and game
