Bright and refreshing aperitif style with creamy, textured & layered citrus flavours
A refreshing aperitif-style fizz, sourced from vineyards in Victoria and Tasmania, with flavour upfront and a cleansing, salivating finish. Attractive notes of bread dough wrapped around a defined lemony core. Citrus-led and bright rather than sweet. Tight, pure and elegant. Terrific value.
[Ed. note: The current release of this wine is based on estate grown fruit from the Pyrenees in Victoria, the all non-vintage sparkling wines of Taltarni spending a minimum of 18 months on lees.]

There's a smart mousse and bead on pouring. There's pretty aromas of white flowers, lemon pith, baked apple and just-ripe peach. Creamy, textured and layered in flavour, with a decent drive of citrus, apple and zesty acidity. Smart length.

Taltarni was one of the pioneering names of the Pyrenees wine region in Victoria. It was established in 1969 by the Goelet family, American descendants of Bordeaux wine merchants who in 1972 laid the foundations of Clos du Val in Napa Valley and later, Tasmanian sparkling house Clover Hill. Taltarni and Clover Hill have both been part of the steadily growing portfolio of the Fogarty Hall Wine Group since 2024.
Today the large 700-hectare estate has 75 hectares of vineyards, with vines growing in gravelly yellow and red clay loams above deep subsoils of sandstone and siltstone. The site is the source of Taltarni’s premium red wines and the foundation of their well-known sparkling wines, which have enjoyed significant commercial success over the years. Complementing parcels of fruit are also sourced from cooler regions across Victoria and Tasmania.
