A classic vintage that gave birth to very elegant and fine wines. Bright vermillion with a pale ruby hue. Heady aromas of black cherry, strawberry, violets and pungent spices unfold to reveal subtle toasty oak and dried herbs. Palate Juicy cherry/ strawberry flavours fill the palate and are held with the delicate acidity and persistent silky tannins. Perfect wine to match with Peking Duck. A wine that is drinking beautifully now, but will gain complexity after 5-8 years of cellaring and could be kept for up to 15.
