‘Here too a discreet application of wood can be found on the earthy and spicy aromas of plum, red cherry and violet. The supple and generously proportioned medium-bodied flavors possess a seductive mid-palate that also contrasts somewhat with the mildly rustic and robust finale that displays excellent length. This is also a very good Nuits villages and worth your interest.

Made with 25% whole bunch vinification, and aged in 60% new wood. The vines were replanted in 1974. A rich concentrated purple colour. There is a fine weight of fruit which shows some energy as well as power. A mix of dark red berries. There is a substantial weight of fruit, enough so that the new oak impinges less here, and the tannins are more classical. Not in the rustic style by any means and there is pretty good weight. Drink from 2026-2032.
