The 2022 Pinot Noir Bressay Estate Vineyard saw 40% whole bunches in the fermentation and is a ripe ruby color, with notes of sweet raspberry coulis, candied roses, darker mineral undertones, and sweet spices. As it opens, it takes on a darker profile, with remarkable structure and balance on the palate, ripe tannins, and a long, long finish. Offering great tension and a balanced feel, it’s an exceptional wine from the vintage, It would do well to see a decant opening now.

The aromas of spearmint, fresh basil and dried strawberries come out nicely. Hints of iodine. Medium-bodied with tannins that are propped up, yet the fruit coats them and makes them so attractive that you want to drink it.

The 2022 Pinot Noir Bressay Estate Vineyard comes from high-density, dry-farmed vines planted in 2005 in sandy soils. Grapes were harvested August 19 and 22, and the wine fermented with 40% whole clusters. It has compelling aromas that segue from generous raspberry, blackberry and blood orange to finely detailed notes of rose hip, conifer and botanicals. The medium-bodied palate offers generous, layered flavors and soaring floral perfume. It has a silky texture, mouthwatering acidity and a long, detailed finish.

Some of Sonoma's most exciting Pinot Noir comes from the cool, foggy hills of the Russian River Valley, where Pacific breezes and long growing seasons create remarkable depth without sacrificing elegance. Founded in 1996, DuMOL has become one of California's most admired boutique producers, with winemaker and co-owner Andy Smith championing meticulous vineyard work and restrained winemaking. Bressay Estate reflects this philosophy, combining beautifully ripe fruit with the finesse of its coastal surroundings.
Deep ruby red with vibrant crimson highlights. Black cherry, wild raspberry and ripe plum mingle with rose petals, forest floor and delicate baking spice. The 2022 vintage is wonderfully concentrated, with silky tannins, fresh acidity and a fine mineral thread. Subtle oak adds warmth without overwhelming the fruit, while the long, savoury finish reveals the complexity of this exceptional vineyard.
Delicious with crispy duck and tamarind glaze, roasted king mushrooms with thyme, or seared tuna with black sesame and ginger.
Cellaring: Drink now to 2037. Excellent ageing potential, with further earthy and savoury complexity developing over time.
