Fritz Haag is one of the Mosel's most historic and revered estates, with a winemaking legacy dating back to 1605. Under the guidance of Oliver Haag, the winery continues to produce Rieslings that rank among Germany's finest, combining purity, elegance and remarkable site expression. The estate's holdings in Brauneberger Juffer are particularly prized, producing wines that beautifully balance fruit intensity, slate driven minerality and the effortless grace that defines great Mosel Riesling.

Brauneberger Juffer is one of the Mosel's most celebrated Grosse Lage vineyards, a steep south facing slope of weathered blue Devonian slate overlooking the river. The site consistently delivers wines of finesse and longevity, with a distinctive combination of ripe fruit and mineral precision. The 2022 vintage produced fruit of exceptional quality, allowing the Feinherb style to shine with its hallmark balance between gentle sweetness and vibrant acidity.

Pale straw gold with brilliant green highlights, the bouquet reveals aromas of white peach, nectarine and lime blossom alongside notes of green apple, jasmine and crushed slate. The palate is beautifully poised, offering layers of citrus, stone fruit and ripe orchard fruits balanced by refreshing acidity and subtle residual sweetness. The slate rich soils contribute a fine mineral backbone, while the finish is long, precise and refreshing, lingering with citrus zest, wet stone and delicate floral notes.

This is a wonderfully versatile food wine, pairing beautifully with fresh prawns, spicy Asian cuisine, roast pork, sushi, smoked trout or a goat's cheese tart. Equally enjoyable on its own, it captures the magical interplay of fruit, freshness and minerality that has made Mosel Feinherb Riesling such a favourite among wine lovers.
