Schloss Lieser Goldtröpfchen Riesling Grosses Gewächs comes from one of the Mosel’s most historic and dramatic vineyard sites, the Brauneberger Juffer Sonnenuhr Goldtröpfchen, a steep south facing amphitheatre of blue Devonian slate overlooking the river. This vineyard has been famous since Roman times for producing some of Germany’s most profound Rieslings, with its crumbly slate soils storing heat through the day and releasing it at night, helping grapes achieve perfect ripeness while preserving the razor sharp acidity that defines great Mosel wine.
