Domaine Faiveley has been one of Burgundy's great family names since 1825, with seven generations dedicated to producing wines that faithfully express the region's finest terroirs. From its historic cellars in Nuits Saint Georges, the estate has built an international reputation for precision, elegance and exceptional vineyard holdings. The Ladoix Les Marnes Blanches Blanc is a superb example of the exciting white wines emerging from the northern Côte de Beaune, where limestone rich soils and a cool climate produce Chardonnay of remarkable purity and understated sophistication.

The Les Marnes Blanches vineyard takes its name from its distinctive white marl soils, renowned for imparting freshness, mineral definition and tension to Chardonnay. The excellent 2023 vintage delivered beautifully balanced fruit, with a long, measured growing season preserving aromatic finesse while allowing flavours to develop with clarity and depth. Fermentation and maturation in French oak barrels add subtle texture and complexity, complementing rather than overshadowing the vineyard's naturally vibrant character.

Pale gold with brilliant green reflections, the bouquet reveals white peach, ripe citrus and crisp pear layered with acacia blossom, toasted almond and delicate flinty notes. As the wine opens, hints of lemon curd, hazelnut and wet limestone emerge, adding further depth and intrigue. The palate is finely etched and beautifully focused, balancing vibrant citrus and stone fruit with a creamy texture and bright mineral acidity. A gentle saline thread and discreet oak influence carry through a long, poised finish that is both elegant and refreshingly precise.

A superb partner for grilled lobster, Dover sole, roast chicken with tarragon, veal with morel cream sauce or mature Comté. Although wonderfully expressive in its youth, this refined white Burgundy has the balance and structure to develop gracefully over the next eight to twelve years.
