Pierre-Marie Chermette, based at Domaine du Vissoux, is known for minimal intervention winemaking and a commitment to letting the purity of Gamay shine. Les Griottes, named after the wild cherries that evoke the wine’s juicy character, is sourced from granitic soils around Saint-Vérand, a site that consistently delivers bright, approachable fruit with charm and vibrancy.

In the glass it is a bright ruby red with purple highlights. The nose is fragrant and expressive, offering aromas of red cherry, raspberry and wild strawberry accented by floral notes and a touch of spice. The palate is light to medium-bodied, with juicy red fruits supported by fine tannins and refreshing acidity. A gentle earthiness and mineral thread add subtle complexity, while the finish is smooth, clean and highly drinkable.
