Christophe Patrice is part of a new generation of Chablis growers dedicated to showcasing the purity and precision that make this corner of Burgundy so distinctive. Based in the heart of the appellation, the family works sustainably across a collection of vineyard sites planted on the region's famous Kimmeridgian and Portlandian limestone soils. Their wines focus on freshness, minerality and site expression, offering classic Chablis character without unnecessary winemaking influence.
Petit Chablis is often the perfect introduction to the region, sourced from vineyards planted on the higher slopes surrounding the main Chablis appellation. While approachable in its youth, the best examples retain the bright acidity and mineral drive that have made Chablis one of the world's great seafood wines. The 2024 vintage produced fruit of excellent quality, delivering freshness, purity and vibrant citrus flavours.
Pale straw with bright green highlights, the bouquet is lively and inviting with aromas of lemon zest, green apple and white flowers. Subtle notes of oyster shell, wet stone and fresh herbs emerge with time in the glass, adding complexity and regional character. The palate is crisp and refreshing, revealing flavours of citrus, crunchy apple and grapefruit supported by bright acidity and a clean mineral backbone. The finish is dry, energetic and beautifully precise, lingering with notes of lemon and chalky freshness.
This is a wonderful match for freshly shucked oysters, grilled prawns, fish and chips, seafood linguine, sushi or a goat's cheese tart. Equally enjoyable as an aperitif, it delivers all the freshness and charm that have made Chablis a favourite with wine lovers around the world.
