There is a wonderfully understated elegance to Latricières Chambertin, one of Gevrey Chambertin's most distinguished Grand Crus. Situated immediately south of Chambertin, its cooler position and limestone rich soils produce Pinot Noir renowned for finesse, mineral character and exceptional ageing potential. Founded in 1825, Domaine Faiveley remains family owned, with Erwan and Eve Faiveley guiding the estate and Jérôme Flous overseeing winemaking.
Brilliant ruby red with crimson reflections. Wild cherry, redcurrant and black raspberry mingle with violet, rose petals and subtle woodland spice. The challenging 2024 vintage favours freshness and aromatic definition, with finely woven tannins, vibrant acidity and a beautifully persistent mineral finish. Restrained yet wonderfully complex, with impressive depth beneath its elegant character.
Magnificent with roasted quail and sour cherries, duck breast with juniper, or porcini and chestnut ravioli. A beautifully refined Burgundy for a memorable dinner.
Cellaring: 2030 to 2045+. A distinguished Grand Cru that should reward patience with greater savoury complexity and silky texture.
