A soft and lightweight sauvignon blanc with dilute but varietal character of passionfruit, tropical fruit drink, cut grass and some white pepper. It feels quite green in its fruit spectrum, lean, and firm through a short finish. It will perk up the palate, no doubt, but for pedigree it doesn't quite deliver.

Heirloom Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc from the Adelaide Hills is a crisp, aromatic white that highlights the region’s cool climate clarity and vibrant fruit character. Crafted with precision and restraint, it delivers freshness and complexity without relying on overt tropical notes or excess herbaceousness. Instead, this wine leans into citrus, minerality and texture, making it a more refined take on the variety.

Grapes are hand picked from high-altitude vineyards and gently pressed to preserve aromatics. Fermentation is carried out in stainless steel, often with a portion matured on lees for added mouthfeel and subtle complexity. The result is a wine that balances bright acidity with palate weight and elegance.

Aromas of lemon zest, white peach, gooseberry and elderflower rise from the glass, with hints of fresh herbs and wet stone. The palate is dry and zippy, showing lime, green apple and grapefruit with a chalky mineral line and a clean, refreshing finish.

Food pairing: excellent with oysters, grilled prawns, asparagus risotto, goat cheese salads or Vietnamese rice paper rolls. Also a great choice as an aperitif or with lightly spiced dishes.

Cellar potential: best enjoyed young and vibrant within 2 to 3 years of vintage, but can develop more savoury notes and soft texture over short term cellaring.
